Direct Male Line Family Surname Beginner’s Package
Genealogus researchers can trace your father's surname back from generation to generation through the direct male line into the early nineteenth century. Along the way they will obtain copies of birth and marriage certificates for the direct male ancestor in each generation. Their wives and children will also be included on the family tree along with details of where they lived and their occupations.
All of the information our researchers find on your direct male ancestors up to the early years of the nineteenth century will be written up in a bound personalised report and a family tree created showing the male line, their wives and children (extracted from Census returns). Copies of relevant birth and marriage certificates are included. Any significant features of the family pedigree or important events or dates will be mentioned, all sources referenced and recommendations for other areas of research will be suggested.
Death certificates are not normally required to prove the descent of an ancestral line and so copies are not included in this package. However, as these often provide interesting information regarding the place and cause of death of an ancestor which could be helpful to further research, we would recommend that they be commissioned separately from this basic package. The Genealogus researchers are professionally qualified and specialists in a wide variety of subject areas associated with genealogy and family history. All of the research provided by our service is checked and verified against any relevant documentation to ensure, as much as possible, its accuracy and authenticity. No research will be provided purely from census information only.
Cost per direct male surname line: £120
