Legally, we have to state that, unless agreed otherwise by both parties, clients will not be able to cancel the contracted research once the performance of that research has begun.

Due to the nature of this research, we have to point out that positive results cannot be guaranteed. No research can promise to find information which may have been lost for whatever reason over time. Ancestors sometimes told lies and acted unpredictably which may mean that we cannot proceed further or may require a further investment of time and money. However, this problem solving can sometimes be the most rewarding type research although again, there can never be a guarantee that the results will be positive as we are at the mercy of past events and people.

If after the first three hours of research we feel that we are unable to proceed, we will contact you to discuss the information you have supplied. If after that we find that we still cannot continue, we will refund any fees paid less £45 and any additional amount already spent on research (certificates etc.).

Throughout the research we will contact you with updates of our progress. If, for any reason, we anticipate any major delay in the progress of our research, we will inform you straight away.
