Sometimes valuable information can be missed or misunderstood due to problems reading or understanding old handwritten documents. Whole family trees can go down the wrong path because a surname or place has not been read properly. Our Palaeography and Diplomatics Team can stop you going wrong with your research by reading and transcribing difficult or complicated documents for you.

All that we need is a good photocopy or digital image of the documents and any information that you have about them and we will send you back a full transcription. Please do not send us any originals without prior consultation.
